Listen, Act, Connect
For over 30 years, Joan has been engaged in work fostering creative and emotional growth. She collaborates with a large network of physicians, school counselors, psychologists and psychiatrists in the care of her clients. She works primarily from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) model and believes strongly in connecting with the family system to coordinate the care and support of her clients. She has specialized training in art psychotherapy (Registered Art Therapist -ATR), CBT (through The Beck Institute), Social Work (Masters from The Ohio State University and Doctorate from the University of Southern California) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
